Switching job fields has always been an interesting concept. You can move from one area of expertise to another, and depending on your commitment develop an entirely new set of skills to add to your arsenal.
We recently did such a job switch, moving from the veterinary technician field to the service industry, where we now work as a kitchen manager. It’s been an interesting journey, and there have been many learning opportunities along the way. It happened totally by accident, so I’m curious if that’s how the next switch will happen.
I like the learning aspect, so I wouldn’t mind if it did.
