When in doubt, it can be tempting to cling to old habits. Take old paths that are well worn, familiar in their deeds and results. But this familiarity can be stagnant.
To truly grow requires taking that first step off the beaten path. Placing each hesitant foot among the weeds and brambles, risking thorns and pests in the pursuit of something new. A terrifying concept, but hopeful in its outcome.
I’ve watched you cling to old habits, follow dark paths your feet call home. You’ve doomed yourself to walk alone, as long as you follow this wayward walk. Take that first step off the trail, and set a new path towards the light.
