Constricted growth in glasswork
Led to a slender sapling
Bent like a willow intentionally
Soft and pliable unfortunately
Bondage came to aid then
Learned history of what not to do
Soft ropes sought out support
Yet deficient to true design
One weak link broke the chain
So I’m forging my own chains now
Not to hold me down but get me out
Cause a rope didn’t do the trick
This sapling reaches stout now
But still needs room to grow
Forged chains of past and present
Support the present growth
